The Operations Center supports the development, review, and implementation of all IMPAACT scientific protocols; supports the development and maintenance of site infrastructure; and provides a central point of coordination, communications, and support to the IMPAACT Leadership, committees, protocol teams, the HIV/AIDS community, and network-affiliated sites.  The Operations Center Mission Statement reads:

"Our expertise maximizes maternal, pediatric, and adolescent clinical research and laboratory management for investigators, the community, and clinical sites operating on a worldwide scale by providing practical, innovative solutions in the ever-changing HIV/AIDS global research environment."

This ongoing mission is supported through the efforts of six groups at the Operations Center: the Clinical Group, the Finance and Budget Group, the Site Development and Management Group, the Laboratory Group, the Office of the Director, and the Executive Group.  The staff and management of these groups contributes toward the advancement of the overall IMPAACT agenda in multiple ways.
